The Black Heritage Trail is a popular path in Boston that winds through the Beacon Hill neighborhood and passes historical sites that are important to African American history. The trail includes 15 pre-Civil War structures and historic sites, including the Abiel Smith School, 1806 African Meeting House, and the Robert Gould Shaw/54th Massachusetts Regiment Memorial.
